Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph’s

Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn

Brooklyn, New York

2011-2015

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn commissioned Botti Studio to perform a complete restoration of the Co-Cathedral of St Joseph’s 65 stained glass windows. The project involves the removal and total restoration of all windows, the complete restoration of the steel and stone window frames and the installation of a new protective glazing system to protect the restored stained glass windows. The stained glass windows at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph’s were originally designed and fabricated by the Locke Studio of Brooklyn in the 1920s. The restoration project began in the fall of 2008 and was completed in time for Christmas 2014. On April 30th 2015 the New York Landmarks Conservancy honored the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award. This is the Conservancy's highest honor for outstanding preservation.
